The Detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) continue the pre-trial investigation as of the facts of receiving improper advantage during the procurement procedures made by State Enterprise (SE) «National Nuclear Energy Generating Company (NNEGC) «Energoatom».  The statements that according to the court decision the NABU has to close the proceeding are not true.

On January 11, 2017, the Solomyansky District Court of Kyiv denied the defense of Mykola Martynenko in terminating the abovementioned proceeding. Instead, the court held that the NABU has to consider the request filed by the defense representatives and in a timeframe stipulated by law has to inform on the outcome of that consideration.

It should be reminded that in December 2015 the NABU registered a criminal proceeding as of the facts of accepting an improper advantage during «Energoatom`s» procurement procedures. The investigation revealed that the SE suffered losses of more than 6.4 million EUR for overpayment for the equipment purchased from the Czech joint-stock company “Škoda JS”.
