NABU and the Estonian Center of Eastern Partnership agreed on cooperation

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Estonian Center of Eastern Partnership (ECEAP) will exchange information and experience in the area of detection and investigation of corruption and corruption-related offences.  The Memorandum on Cooperation was signed on June 6, 2017, in Kyiv by the NABU Director Artem Sytnyk and the ECEAP Director Jaan Reinhold.

Court decisions are crucial for anti-corruption reform – NABU Director

Court decisions in the top-corruption cases, investigated by the Detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) will testify that anti-corruption reform in Ukraine is successfully implemented. This was stressed by the NABU Director Artem Sytnyk at the meeting with the representatives of the Working Party on Eastern Europe and Central Asia (COEST).

EU Anti-Corruption Initiative will support the NABU`s institutional capacity

The European Union (EU) is ready to support reforms in Ukraine, including anti-corruption iniatives. At the same time, frequent attempts to undermine the independence and effectiveness of the newly created anti-corruption agencies, in particular, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) are of concern. This was stressed by the Commissioner of the European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn at the presentation of the European Union’s Anti-Corruption Initiative in Ukraine (EUACI) program which took place on June 1, 2017.

NABU will strengthen cooperation with anti-corruption agencies of Hong Kong

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) will strengthen cooperation with the Hong Kong Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC). The NABU Director Artem Sytnyk and the executives of the ICAC agreed on this when the Bureau visited Hong Kong.

NABU`s investigations help to reduce unprofitability of the State Enterprises – Artem Sytnyk

Thanks to the work of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) the activities of State Enterprises have become more transparent. Thus, the effectiveness of the state assets use efficiency is increasing. This was underlined by the NABU Director Artem Sytnyk at the meeting with the representatives of the Special Investigation Service (STT) on March 27, 2017.

Italian partners support the establishment of the Anti-Corruption Court

Diplomatic missions of Italy have supported the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) on providing the Bureau with necessary powers of investigation and on the need to establish the Specialized Anti-Corruption Court. This was stressed by Italian Ambassador in Ukraine Davide La Cecilia at the meeting with the NABU Director Artem Sytnyk on February 22, 2017.

FBI conducted a training for the NABU special forces

Instructors from the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation conducted a 10-days training course “Special weapon and tactics in high risk operations” for the NABU special forces. The close-up meeting, held on June 22 at the NABU, was attended by the representatives of the Law Enforcement Affairs Section of the US Embassy Kyiv, FBI instructors and the NABU top management.

The NABU will cooperate with Europol while investigating cross-border corruption offenses

Cooperation with Europol (the European Police Office) is one of the NABU’s priorities. Success of many criminal proceedings depends on effective cooperation between the Bureau and the anti-corruption and law enforcement bodies of other states.
