The National Anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine in collaboration with the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office started to bring criminal proceedings before court, starting with the proceedings on exposing judges of obtaining improper advantage. Artem Sytnyk spoke of this in his appearance on the Channel 24 show “Livy bereh”.
He reminded that the NABU detectives were investigating over 80 criminal proceedings, some of which were in their final stages.
“As of today, according to article 290 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine, the defence is reviewing the case materials,” - added Mr. Sytnyk.
The Bureau's director said that they were about to complete the investigation concerning the Prosecutor General's office employee who attempted to provide a competition committee member with improper advantage (bribe) for a position in the NABU.
It should be reminded that on 17 February 2016 a prosecutor of the Prosecutor General's office was arrested for offering a 10,000 USD bribe to members of the NABU competition committee for giving him a detectives unit head/deputy head position. In December 2015 – January 2016 the Bureau's detectives also exposed four judges of obtaining improper advantage
