The court seized the Energomerezha Holding Company assets amounting to more than 116 million UAH at the initiative of the NABU

The Solomyansky District Court of Kiev authorised seizing of assets in the Energomerezha Holding Company bank accounts in the amount of more than 116 million UAH. The motion filed by the NABU detectives in agreement with the Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's office was examined and granted on 4 March 2016.

On 9 March 2016 Kyiv Commercial Court sustained the first claim filed by the National Anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine and invalidated Claim Assignment Agreements between Zaporizhyaoblenergo OJSC and Energomerezha Holding Company.

Andriy Pasishnyk, the Naftogaz top manager, was given notice of suspicion

On Wednesday, 9 March the detectives of the National Anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine in agreement with the Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor issued a notice of suspicion on interference with the work of a public official (article 344, part 1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) to Andriy Pasishnyk, the Acting Deputy of the Board Chairman of the Naftogaz National Joint Stock Company.

The FBI has provided the NABU with equipment for digitizing paper documents

The US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has provided the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) with computers, advanced analytical software, and high-speed scanners which can digitize paper documents and make them electronically searchable. Thanks to this equipment all physical documents can now be digitized which will enhance investigative abilities by providing a means to search through disparate data and link clues from various sources.

The NABU special forces took an oath to the people of Ukraine

The NABU Special Operations Department employees took an oath to the people of Ukraine in the presence of the President Petro Poroshenko and the NABU Director Artem Sytnyk.
 
Being conscious of high responsibility, the special operations unit members swore to abide by the Constitution and laws of Ukraine, to respect and protect human and civil rights, liberties and legitimate interests and state honour, to be honest, diligent and disciplined, to keep the state secrets and other secrets protected by the law.

The NABU is gathering profiles for 1500 judges

The National Anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine detectives are investigating 13 criminal proceedings concerning Ukrainian judges, as reported by Artem Sytnyk, the Bureau's director. 
 
“Combating corruption in the judicial branch of power is one of our priorities. Over the last two months we have exposed four judges of receiving improper advantage. The information concerning property and foreign trips of certain judges uncovered during the investigations is shocking,” - said Mr Sytnyk.

The NABU detectives are investigating over 70 proceedings – Artem Sytnyk

As of the beginning of February the number of proceedings initiated by the detectives of the National Anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine has reached 70. This was reported by Artem Sytnyk during presentation of the report for the past 6 months.
 
He announced that the results of the first initiated proceeding concerning officials of the state owned Zaporizhyaoblenergo OJSC would soon be presented.

FBI representative will work together with the NABU detectives

Starting February, an FBI representative will be present at the National Anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine. He will work together with the Bureau's detectives on international assignments and control how they are dealt with by the competent US authorities. Artem Sytnyk reported this during the Hromadske Radio broadcast.
 
According to him, this month the FBI representatives would visit the National Bureau in order to assist the detectives in tracing monetary flows.

The NABU initiated a criminal proceeding basing on Aivaras Abromavicius' public statement

On 3 February the NABU detectives began investigating the facts concerning alleged interference of the BPP first deputy faction leader I. Kononenko and several other parliament members with the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade work given by Aivaras Abromavičius, the Minister of Economy and Trade. The information was entered into the Unified register of pre-trial investigations under the Criminal Code article 364, part 2 (misuse of powers and responsibilities).
