On July 19, 2017, the Detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) under the procedural guidance of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) gave a notice of suspicion to the ex-head of one of the City Courts of Lugansk Region for allegedly committing crimes under Article 366-1 («Submission of false data to e-declaration») and Part 2 Article 368-2 («Illegal enrichment») of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

On June 30, 2017, the Detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) under the procedural guidance of the Anti-corruption prosecutors jointly with the employees of the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) detained the Acting Head of the City Court in Lugansk region on receiving an improper advantage.

On June 14, 2017, the Detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) jointly with the officers of the National Police Economic Defense Department under the procedural guidance of the Anti-Corruption prosecutors detained a judge of the Brovarsky City and District Court of Kyiv Region on receiving an improper advantage.

On April 21, 2017, the Solomyansky District Court of Kyiv chose preventive measures for the Deputy Head of the District Court of Dnipro (in a form of house arrest on the 24-hours basis) and for a judge from the abovementioned court (in a form of house arrest from 10:00 p.m. to 06:00 a.m). It should be reminded that on April 19, 2017, the suspects were detained on receiving improper advantage.

Judge of Dniprovsky District Court of Kyiv Mykola Chaus, who is suspected of committing a crime under Part 4 Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (“Accepting an offer, promise or receiving an improper advantage by an official”), was detained in Moldova  on the basis of information the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine gave the National Anticorruption Center of Moldova.

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine in agreement with the prosecutors of the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor`s Office (SAPO) have sent to the court the indictment against the judge of the Malynovsky district court in Odesa Oleksii Buran. He is accused of receiving an improper advantage in the amount of 500 thousand UAH (Part 4 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) along with the threat to kill one of the NABU staff being on duty (Part 1 Article 345 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

On Friday, April, 1 Solomyansky district court in Kyiv granted the application by the NABU detectives in agreement with the Specialized Anti-corruption Prosecutor's office and selected holding in custody without bail as preventive measure for the judge O.Buran. 

The NABU detectives in cooperation with the prosecutors of the Specialized Anti-corruption Prosecutor's Office are preparing a motion to the court to select a preventive measure.
