On Dec. 26, 2022, NABU and SAPO completed the investigation of the former head of the Capital Construction Department of the Ministry of Defense and her accomplice - the director of a construction company, suspected of embezzling over UAH 18.66 million allocated for the purchase of housing for the military. Their actions fall under Part 5 Article 191, Part 1 Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The case file was disclosed to the defense for perusal.

51 National Bureau employees who showed high professionalism during russia's armed aggression against Ukraine have been awarded medals “For Assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine”, certificates and honorary certificates from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. 15 employees have been honored with firearms. Major Taras Pona, a NABU's special operations officer, who was killed in action near Bakhmut, has been posthumously awarded the "Badge of Honor".

On Oct. 31, 2022, NABU and SAPO notified the former head of the Capital Construction Department of the Ministry of Defense of suspicion of embezzling over UAH 18.66 million allocated for the purchase of housing for the military. An accomplice, the director of a development company, was notified of suspicion as well. The actions of both fall under Part 5 Article 191, Part 1 Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

On July 2, 2021, NABU and SAPO filed an indictment against the former First Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, former Deputy Minister of Defense and Acting Director of the Department of the Ministry of Defense to court. They are charged with the embezzlement of UAH 17.44 million with their actions falling under Part 2, Art. 364 of the Criminal code of Ukraine.

On October 16, 2017, the Detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) under procedural guidance of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) detained the actual owner of a private enterprise on suspicion of public funds embezzlement during the purchase of fuel for the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) have exposed the corruption scheme of 149 million UAH public funds embezzlement during the purchase of fuel for the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. On October 11, 2017, the NABU Detectives under the procedural guidance of the SAPO prosecutors conducted a number of searches. As a result, two persons – the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine and the Director of the Department of State Procurement and Supply of Material Resources of the Ministry of Defense were detained on suspicion of involvement in the crime.
