The awareness-raising efforts of the National Bureau have been recognized at the state level as the anti-corruption online game “NABU investigates” has won a contest launched by the National Agency of Ukraine for Civil Service.
Amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine", which took effect on Nov. 10, 2021, eliminate legal controversies provoked by the decision of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine to declare certain provisions of the Law unconstitutional.
Effective functional allocation and operational independence of structural units is the key to setting up an effective anti-corruption agency - said NABU Director Artem Sytnyk during a meeting with representatives of the Anti-Corruption Committee of Armenia and the Embassy of Armenia in Ukraine on Nov. 9, 2021.
NABU and SAPO have completed an investigation of the former acting director of a state enterprise and the Head of the Main Department of the State Geocadastre in Vinnytsia region. Both are charged with stealing 17.11 hectares of especially valuable land, which caused UAH 11.6 million in damage to the State. The actions of the suspects fall under Part 5 Art. 191 and Part 1 Art. 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and Transparency International Ukraine, with the support of the International Renaissance Foundation, have presented an educational series about the fight against corruption. It was titled "From corruption report to sentence" and launched via the National Digital Literacy Platform "Diia: Digital Education".

NABU and SAPO have completed an investigation into a corruption scheme causing the state-owned Sea Commercial Port "Yuzhny" to suffer more than UAH 60 million in losses. On Oct. 12-13, 2021, the case materials were disclosed to 10 suspects.
On Oct. 6, 2021, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU), the National Police Internal Security Department, and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) notified 16 persons of suspicion of embezzling the assets of the Odesa territorial community and legalizing illegally obtained income.
NABU and SAPO have completed an investigation into the beneficiary of a group of companies operating in Ukraine's road industry. He is suspected of giving an improper advantage to the former acting head of the State Road Agency of Ukraine (Ukravtodor).
On Sept. 17, 2021, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) sent an indictment against the head of the financial service of one of the military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to court. He is accused of embezzling UAH 4.26 million.
