The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) calls on the Verhovna Rada of Ukraine to support the submissions for criminal prosecution, detention and arrest of the Members of Parliament (MPs) Maksym Poliakov and Boryslav Rosenblat involved in the so-called «amber case». It should be reminded that the NABU Detectives in cooperation with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (USA) with the help of an undercover agent established a scheme of the abovementioned MPs receiving an improper advantage in amount of 300 thousand USD from the representative of a foreign company through MPs’ close people. The funds were used to prepare Draft Laws, to make an unlawful influence on officials of the State Service of Ukraine for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre, the State Forestry Agency, the State Service of Geology and Mineral Resources of Ukraine, local self-government bodies, the courts and the Prosecutor's offices with the aim of unrestricted decision-making in favor of the abovementioned foreign company.
The Director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine noted during his report to Ukrainian Parliament on April 4, 2018, that the situation surrounding the SAPO Head does not affect investigation of criminal proceedings under the NABU's jurisdiction. Cooperation between the NABU Detectives and the SAPO prosecutors continues as usual.
