112,3 million UAH agreement between Zaporizhyaoblenergo and Energomerezha Holding Company was invalidated after the NABU filed a suit

On Wednesday, 29 March 2016, the Kyiv Commercial Court sustained the second of five claims filed by the National Anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine and invalidated Claim Assignment Agreement between Zaporizhyaoblenergo OJSC and Energomerezha Holding Company.
 
The court invalidated the agreement according to which Zaporizhyaoblenergo OJSC transferred the debt claim on the Zaporizhya Titanium-Magnesium Plant debt amounting to more than 112,3 million UAH to the Energomerezha Holding Company.

The court seized the Energomerezha Holding Company assets amounting to more than 116 million UAH at the initiative of the NABU

The Solomyansky District Court of Kiev authorised seizing of assets in the Energomerezha Holding Company bank accounts in the amount of more than 116 million UAH. The motion filed by the NABU detectives in agreement with the Specialised Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's office was examined and granted on 4 March 2016.

On 9 March 2016 Kyiv Commercial Court sustained the first claim filed by the National Anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine and invalidated Claim Assignment Agreements between Zaporizhyaoblenergo OJSC and Energomerezha Holding Company.

The NABU detectives are investigating over 70 proceedings – Artem Sytnyk

As of the beginning of February the number of proceedings initiated by the detectives of the National Anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine has reached 70. This was reported by Artem Sytnyk during presentation of the report for the past 6 months.
 
He announced that the results of the first initiated proceeding concerning officials of the state owned Zaporizhyaoblenergo OJSC would soon be presented.

The NABU submitted statement claims at an amount estimated over 346 million UAH on the investigation of embezzlement of the Zaporizhyaoblenergo OJSC property

On 29 January 2016 the National Anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine filed 4 suits asking to invalidate Claim Assignment Agreements signed between Zaporizhyaoblenergo OJSC, a company with 60% of the shares belonging to the state, and the private firm Energomerezha Holding Company. According to these agreements, the creditor was replaced for debts of major electricity consumers amounting to more than 346,2 million UAH.
