NABU's detectives in cooperation with prosecutors of Special Anti-Corruption Posecutor Office and Department of Economic Security of National police of Ukraine are currently searching the Kherson local prosecutor's office.
The Detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) completed pre-trial investigation of criminal proceeding as of the facts of giving bribe in amount of USD 10 thous. (almost UAH 250 thous.) to the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine by the Chancellor of one of Berdiansk universities, Zaporizhzhia Oblast. On 12 April the criminal proceeding in respect of abuse of office by the Head of the National Bank of Ukraine was ceased upon decision of the NABU detective. This was done in accordance with the article 284, section 1, clause 2 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine due to the absence of the elements of a criminal offence.
