NABU and SAPO have served a suspicion notice on the organizer of the scheme to embezzle the Ukrzaliznytsia property. Thus, there are four suspects in the case involving UAH 11.8 million losses to the state-owned company. The other three suspects*, the deputy head of Ukrzaliznytsia branch, the head of Ukrzaliznytsia Logistics Department and the head of a private company, were notified of suspicion in October 2021.
On August 11, 2023, a suspect in the corruption scheme involving the procurement of COVID-19 PCR tests for Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways) was extradited to Ukraine.
On August 8, 2023, NABU and SAPO, in cooperation with the SSU, exposed a Member of Parliament and two of his accomplices (one of them is his assistant) receiving USD 85,000 in undue advantage. His actions fall under Article 368, Part 4 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
NABU and SAPO have notified a judge of the Prymorskyi District Court of Odesa of suspicion of attempting to give an undue advantage to another judge of the same court for making a positive decision in an administrative offense case, as well as of embezzling a part of the undue advantage by fraud.
On August 3, 2023, NABU and SAPO notified the owner of the Finance and Credit Group of suspicion of providing an undue advantage to the head and judges of the Supreme Court in exchange for a decision in his favor in a commercial case. His actions fall under Part 4 of Art. 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
