NABU and SAPO have uncovered a large-scale corruption scheme in the road building sector, which caused over UAH 286 million losses to the state during russia's full-scale invasion.

NABU and SAPO, in cooperation with the SSU in the Lviv region, have served charges on a former official of the Lviv Customs and a Ukrainian citizen whose actions caused damages to the state amounting to over UAH 15 million.

The anti-corruption infrastructure established in Ukraine is designed to address the public's long-standing demand for justice, which had been ignored for many years, NABU Director Semen Kryvonos told the conference "5 Years of HACC - from idea to capacity."

The upcoming independent audit of the National Bureau and the strengthening of anti-corruption capabilities were discussed during a meeting between NABU Director Semen Kryvonos and IMF representatives.

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Italian National Anti-Corruption Authority (Autorità Nazionale Anticorruzione - ANAC) have reached an agreement on future cooperation in detecting and combating corruption crimes, exchanging information, and sharing best practices in prevention offences. The NABU Director Semen Kryvonos and ANAC President Giuseppe Busia signed the Memorandum on August 20, 2024.
