Prosecutors caught receiving USD 170,000 for case closure (PHOTO)
NABU and SAPO have exposed prosecutors of the Prosecutor General's Office who accepted USD 170,000 for closing a criminal case.
One of the prosecutors was detained upon receiving the bribe. He is charged under Part 4 Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The investigation is ongoing.
According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered not-guilty in the commission of a crime and cannot be subject to criminal punishment until he or she is found guilty by court.
