Zaporizhzhia regional deputy prosecutor served with bribery charges (PHOTOS)
NABU and SAPO have served a suspicion notice on the deputy head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Prosecutor's Office, who was exposed yesterday after receiving USD 40,000 in bribe. Her actions fall under Part 4 Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
According to the investigation, the official solicited the money for changing the jurisdiction of a criminal case, lifting the seizure of property, and ensuring that the person in question would not face criminal charges.
The investigation is ongoing.
According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered not-guilty in the commission of a crime and cannot be subject to criminal punishment until he or she is found guilty by court.
