Two suspected of farmer support corruption scheme (PHOTOS)
On May 23, 2023, NABU and SAPO caught two persons red-handed receiving more than half a million hryvnias in undue advantage. On May 24, both were served with charges under Part 4 Art. 27 Part 3 Art. 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
As established, two citizens of Ukraine incited the managers of an agricultural company to pay UAH 560,000 for prompting the allocation of aid provided to farmers by international organizations.
Right after accepting the third tranche of UAH 505,000, they were detained.
According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered not-guilty in the commission of a crime and cannot be subject to criminal punishment until he or she is found guilty by court.
