We supported NABU before and won't give it up in the future — Ambassador of Germany to Ukraine Martin Jaeger
The continuation of the strong cooperation established earlier was discussed during the first official meeting between NABU's Director Semen Kryvonos and the newly appointed Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Ukraine H.E. Mr. Martin Jaeger. The parties discussed the latest legislative initiatives, in particular those related to the so-called "Lozovyi Amendments," as well as attempts to put pressure on the NABU's independence.
Semen Kryvonos also shared ways to address the issue of workload on the Bureau's team:
"We are trying to amend the legislation to increase the number of NABU employees by 300, thereby strengthening our presence in the regions and enhancing our efficiency."
The sides discussed the latest high-profile cases of NABU and further cooperation. Mr. Martin Jaeger emphasized his readiness to continue supporting Ukraine in the fight against corruption and facilitating NABU's work.
