At the wrap-up briefing, NABU Director Semen Kryvonos expressed his gratitude to the Bureau's team for their work and efforts.
"After 9 years, the Bureau has evolved into a robust and sustainable law enforcement agency. An agency with its own protocols, operating procedures, traditions, principles and established practices. All this constitutes our DNA, which has already been formed," said Semen Kryvonos.
He also emphasized the need to conduct an independent audit of the NABU's work as soon as possible, based on the principles of transparency and openness.
The head of SAPO, Oleksandr Klymenko, noted that since March this year, the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office had been operating as a legal entity independent from the Prosecutor General's Office:
"We have already implemented the necessary administrative changes, begun updating the staff and launched a competitive selection process for prosecutors positions. We continue to build a strong professional team that will guarantee the fight against corruption in the country."
"Given the challenges of a full-scale war with the russian federation and Ukraine's irreversible course toward joining the EU and NATO, SAPO's team is acutely aware of the critical tasks ahead in combating top-level corruption and is prepared to face any challenges along the way," emphasized the head of SAPO.
Finally, the leaders of the anti-corruption bodies agreed to enhance cooperation to further improve the detection and investigation of corruption crimes, particularly those occurring in real time.
