Newly appointed French Ambassador Gaël Veyssiere visits NABU
NABU’s Director Semen Kryvonos briefed the guest on the Bureau's main principles and shared the latest successes in the investigation of top corruption crimes.
He also emphasized the institution's needs, the importance of which cannot be overestimated in the context of the country's post-war recovery and the associated corruption risks. These include increasing the number of detectives and analysts, establishing an autonomous forensic institution, and implementing NABU's right to independent wiretapping.
Finally, the parties discussed the vectors of future cooperation, which holds special significance in terms of Ukraine's aspiration toward EU membership.
