USD 100,000, UAH 2 million to be spent on drones thanks to NABU, SAPO
On March 2, 2023, the High Anti-Corruption Court found guilty a representative of one of the capital's developers and the mayor of Poltava. Both entered into plea agreements and pledged to transfer USD 100,000 and UAH 2 million, respectively, for the Army of Drones project within the United24 initiative.
The convicts were also sentenced to 5 years in prison, with a probation period of 3 and 1 years, respectively.
The court also ruled that UAH 2.2 million posted in bail by the representative of the developer be sent to the army needs, and the undue advantage of USD 120,000, which was meant for the head of the State Inspectorate for Architecture and Urban Planning of Ukraine, be charged to the state income.
In total, more than UAH 1.227 billion in bail and seized assets in the NABU and SAPO cases have been directed to the Armed Forces of Ukraine since russia's all-out invasion.
