Case as of 67.73 mln UAH damage caused to Ukrtelefilm: ex-Director was given a notice of suspicion
On February 6, 2019, the Detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) under the procedural guidance of the Prosecutors of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) and the Prosecutor's Office of Kyiv jointly with the representatives of the Main Directorate of Economic Counter-Intelligence Protection of the State's Interests of the Security Service of Ukraine gave a notice of suspicion to ex-Director General of the State Enterprise (SE) «Ukrainian Television Film Studio» Ukrtelefilm». He is suspected of abuse of office and the use of fake documents, resulting in more than 67.73 million UAH damage caused to the SE. The actions of an ex-Director qualified under Part 2 Article 364, Part 4 Article 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.The notices of suspicion were given to two of his accomplices: the organizer of the scheme (committing a crime under Part 3 Article 27, Part 2 Article 364, Parts 1, 4 Article 358, Part 3 Article 209 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), the Head of the Limited Liability Company (LLC) involved in the scheme (Part 5 Article 27, Part 2 Article 364, Part 4 Article 358, Part 3 Article 209 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The investigation revealed that the ex-Director of «Ukrtelefilm» in conspiracy with some persons alienated property rights for 62 real estate objects located in Kyiv (apartments, non-residential premises, parking spaces) in favor of the abovementioned LLC. Because of these actions, committed with numerous violations of the procedure for the alienation of state property, 67.73 million UAH damage was caused to the State.
In November 2018, the Commercial Court of Kyiv declared the purchase and sale contract of the specified property rights invalid.
The NABU Detectives started the investigation of the criminal proceeding in February 2018.
