UAH 77 million fine paid to budget in UAH 0.5 billion conspiracy case
Two private companies, exposed by the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine after NABU provided evidence of their violation of competition law, paid UAH 77.2 million in fines to the state budget.
The AMCU case concerned the concerted actions among seven companies in a string of tenders for the supply of software. On Dec. 15, 2021, the companies were fined over UAH 105.3 million.
The procurement in question covers the period of 2016-2019. Tenders were announced by such state entities as Privatbank, Energoatom, Ukrgazvydobuvannia, Ukrzaliznytsia, the NBU, etc.
The sanctions imposed on the exposed companies also include a 3-year ban on participating in public procurement.
