Diligent education is a contribution of youth to the fight against corruption
As part of the Back to Alma Mater project, for the third year in a row, National Bureau officers congratulate students of schools and universities they graduated on Knowledge Day.
"The National Bureau is making every effort to eradicate corruption in Ukraine. The contribution of youth to achieving this goal is diligent education," NABU Detective Ivan told students of his native Podlisky Lyceum in Ivano-Frankivsk region.
On Sept. 1, 2021, NABU Detectives also visited educational institutions in Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Novohrad-Volynskyi, where they met with more than 1,000 pupils and students. Using successful examples of their careers, the Detectives convinced young people of the importance of diligent education, which brings the freedom of choice — especially in the rejection of corrupt practices, sense of self-confidence, and ensures success in applying for prestigious jobs.
The Detectives also advised the youth to study anti-corruption practices, namely through the "NABU investigates" interactive game or "Anti-Corruption Alphabet".
The Back to Alma Mater project was launched by the National Bureau in 2019. Since then, 22 NABU officers have met with students in 11 regions across Ukraine — from Ivano-Frankivsk to Luhansk, from Kharkiv to Kherson. The purpose of these events is to tell young people that everyone can contribute to the fight against corruption!
