E-declaration misstatements: Deputy from Zakarpattia notified of suspicion
On Jan. 9, 2023, NABU and SAPO notified the Deputy of the Zakarpattia Regional Council of suspicion of submitting false data in his 2020 e-declaration. His actions fall under Part 1 Art. 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (as amended by the Law of Ukraine of 04.12.2020 No. 1074-IX).
As established, the Deputy failed to declare for 2020 two companies registered in Budapest (Hungary). The total authorized capital of the companies is HUF 93 million (as of December 31, 2020, at the rate of the NBU, about UAH 8.9 million).
As the deputy fled from Ukraine on the eve of the full-scale invasion and has not returned, he was notified of suspicion under Art. 278, Art. 135 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered non-guilty in the commission of a crime and cannot be subject to criminal punishment until he or she is found guilty by court.
