Odesa City Mayor suspected of submitting false data to e-declaration
On April 14, 2020, the Odesa City Mayor was given a notice of suspicion of submitting false data to e-declaration of 2017. His actions are qualified under Article 366-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The investigation revealed that Odesa City Mayor did not submit data on the property and income owned by his cohabitant in the declaration. The official lived with the mentioned person during 2017.
The suspect was officially married with her since 1985 until 1997, has two children in common, one of whom was born in 2000, that is after the official porce.
The Odesa City Mayor undeclared an apartment, two parking lots, a boathouse, a country house, non-residential real estate, two cars, shares in a number of business entities, interest on deposits in banks. In total, in the declaration of 2017, the official did not submit a worth in the total amount of UAH 16.2 million. The size of the undeclared worth is determined on the basis of results of conducted examinations.
The Odesa City Mayor is being prosecuted for the second time under Article 366-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. In March 2019, he has been accused of submitting false data to e-declarations of 2015-2016.
The investigation as of abovementioned facts the NABU Detectives started in March 2019.
