Indictment regarding ex-Chernihiv DSA Head sent to court

On April 28, 2021, NABU and SAPO filed an indictment against the former Head of Chernihiv District State Administration exposed red-handed receiving an improper advantage. The actions of the accused fall under Part 3 Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (acceptance of an offer, promise, or receipt of an improper advantage by an official).

According to the investigation, the ex-official (at the time of committing the crime - a regional council deputy) demanded and received from the director of a private enterprise an improper advantage in the amount of USD 10 thousand. This was the "price" he set to help issue a permit for the development and approval of a detailed plan of territories and further approval of a land management project to change the use of land.

The ex-official was detained and notofied of suspicion on November 5, 2020.

NABU and SAPO investigated the above facts from November 2020 (after the transfer of corresponding materials from the National Police of Ukraine) until February 2021.

 

 

 

 

According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered not-guilty in the commission of a crime and cannot be subject to criminal punishment until he or she is found guilty by court.
