Dnipropetrovsk District Court judge case sent to court
On Feb. 14, 2022, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) filed an indictment against a judge of the Dnipropetrovsk District Court in Dnipropetrovsk region. Her actions fall under Part 3 Art. 368 of the Criminal code of Ukraine.
As established, the judge demanded and received USD 2.5 for taking a decision in the interests of a person in a civil case. On June 7, 2021, she was caught red-handed. On June 9, the judge was notified of suspicion.
In August 2021, the investigation was completed, case materials were disclosed for review by the defense.
According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered non-guilty in the commission of a crime and cannot be subject to criminal punishment until he or she is found guilty by court.
