Results of the online voting for the NABU Civil oversight council
On May 31, 2017, the online voting for the new members of the Civil oversight council was held by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU). On June 6, 2016, the list of 15 winners was published on the official website of the NABU. The online voting was organized based on the software which allowed users to monitor the voting process in real time.
The voting protocol contained coded data on each user's actions. The protocol was available during the whole time of voting. After the completion of the voting each user data was decoded. All candidates were able to analyze the statistical results of the voting even before they were officially published on the Bureau`s web-page.
In addition, during all the voting period the independent observer the Non-governmental organization (NGO) Electronic Democracy had been monitoring the voting process. According to the results the NGO haven’t found the facts of artificial of overstatement of votes or other possible breachs whichs could substantially affect the results. During the voting period the NABU`s website worked in a regular mode. Any error server never took place.
