Results of the online voting for the NABU Civil Oversight Council 2018

On May 30, 2018, the online voting for the new members of the Civil Oversight Council (COC) was held by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU). It results were published on the official website of NABU, in accordance with the Regulations on the NABU Civil Oversight Council.

The COC consists of the representatives of eight non- governmental organizations (NGOs): NGO “Anti-Corruption Headquarters”, NGO “Civic Lustration Committee”, NGO Public Control Platform, SO “All-Ukrainian Association "Automaidan", NGO "The Democratic Axe Of The Horde", Civic organization “Transparency International Ukraine”, NGO “Sich-C14”, All-Ukrainian public organization “Ukrainian Bar Association”.

Among the winners there are 7 women and 8 men. Among 15 elected members of the COC one member are from the NGO from Dnipro (Artem Romaniukov), others are from Kyiv.

4 of 15 winners had been members of previous convocation of the COC : Vitaliy Ustymenko, Galyna Yanchenko, Kateryna Ryzhenko, Artem Romaniukov.

It should be reminded that for conducting online voting open source software, which allowed users to monitor the voting process in real time was used.

In addition, during all the voting period the independent observer the Non-governmental organization (NGO) Electronic Democracy had been monitoring the voting process.

According to the results the NGO haven’t found the facts of artificial of overstatement of votes or other possible breaches which could substantially affect the results.

In accordance with the conditions of online voting for the members of the COC, the votes recorded by the voting system from 09:00 to 21:00 were counted. According to the voting protocols that were published on the NABU official website, from 09:00 to 21:00, 19,298 people took part in the online voting.
