Probe into Dnipropetrovsk District Court judge bribery completed

The investigation of a judge of the Dnipropetrovsk District Court in Dnipropetrovsk region, who was exposed accepting a bribe, has been completed. On August 2, 2021, the defense was granted access to the case files. Upon being examined they will be referred to court.

 

 

The actions of the judge fall under Part 3 Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

As established, the judge demanded and received USD 2.5 for taking a decision in the interests of a person in a civil case. On June 7, 2021, she was caught red-handed. On June 9, the judge was notified of suspicion.

NABU Detectives have been investigating the above facts since February 2021.

 

According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered non-guilty in the commission of a crime and cannot be subject to criminal punishment until he or she is found guilty by court.
