Misappropriation of 1.8 mln UAH of “Mykolaivoblteploenergo”: investigation completed

 

The Detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (hereinafter — NABU) completed the investigation as of the facts of misappropriation of more than 1.75 mln UAH of the Regional Municipal Enterprise (RME) “Mykolaivoblteploenergo”. Former Acting Director of the RME “Mykolaivoblteploenergo”, who is suspected of committing the crime, had been granted with access to the documents of the pre-trial investigation on May 8, 2019, before making an indictment and sending it to the court.

 

 


The actions of an official are qualified under Part 5 Article 191 and Part 1 Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

According to the investigation, in November 2015, the former Acting Director of the RME “Mykolaivoblteploenergo” concluded 138 contracts for the installation of heat metering devices in residential buildings in Mykolaiv with the LLC “Company Ukrenergoservice”. At the same time, the suspect deliberately entered false information about the configuration and the cost of installed heat meters into the acts of acceptance of work performed. As a result, the former Acting Director of the RME “Mykolaivoblteploenergo” misappropriated the funds of the enterprise in the amount of more than 1.75 mln UAH.

The NABU Detectives started investigation of this criminal proceeding in May 2018.

According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine a person is considered not-guilty in commission of crime and cannot be a subject to criminal punishment, until he or she is found guilty by the court.
