Asset non-declaration by MP: case referred to court

On Nov. 28, 2022, NABU and SAPO sent the case to court, accusing an incumbent MP of misstatements in his 2020 e-declaration worth almost UAH 1.79 million. His actions fall under Part 1 Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

As established, the lawmaker failed to indicate the income and a car of the person with whom he lived and had mutual obligations. He also entered no information on a 2019 SUV owned by his son. The total value of concealed assets made UAH 1.79 million.

In November 2022, a suspicion notice was issued against the MP. He was then declared wanted for systematically ignoring subpoenas to appear at NABU.

The investigation was started based on materials of Schemes: Corruption In Details investigative TV-program.
