Deputy Head of the District Court of Kharkiv was given a notice of suspicion
On May 28, 2020, the Detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) under the procedural guidance of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor`s Office (SAPO) gave a notice of suspicion to the Deputy Head of the District Court of Kharkiv.
On May 27, 2020, the abovmentioned judge was exposed on receiving USD 4 thousand of improper advantage within joint operation of NABU, the Security Service of Ukraine and SAPO.
The actions of suspect are qualified under Part 3 Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The investigation revealed that the judge demanded an improper advantage for decision-making on returning more than USD 30 thousand to the accused person.
The NABU Detectives started a pre-trial investigation as of these facts in January 2020.
According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine a person is considered not-guilty in commission of crime and cannot be a subject to criminal punishment, until he or she is found guilty by the court.
