NABU secures reimbursement of UAH 36.5 million to Boryspil Airport

A private company voluntarily transferred UAH 36.5 million to the "Boryspil International Airport" state enterprise as compensation for using the services of the airport at a reduced cost in 2013-2014.

Relevant facts were the subject of a pre-trial investigation by the NABU Detectives. As established, the state-owned company provided its services to a commercial company at a discount of 50-80%. After the intensification of investigative actions, the commercial company agreed to voluntarily compensate for the income lost by the airport as a result of granted preferences. The funds were repaid in several tranches during the second half of 2021.
