Ambassador of France to Ukraine visited NABU
During his visit to NABU, the Ambassador of France to Ukraine, Etienne de Poncins, met with the Bureau's leadership and detectives and learned about the operation of the forensic IT laboratory and the eCase MS electronic criminal proceedings system.
The Director of NABU, Semen Kryvonos, expressed his gratitude for the constant support from the G7 countries and France in particular. He dwelled on the Bureau's current activities and outlined steps that would help strengthen the institution's effectiveness.
"To further effectively combat corruption, legislative changes are necessary, in particular expanding its staff. While work is underway on these changes, NABU is looking for resources within the institution. Thanks to the reorganization, we could free up 20 positions for operatives and detectives. This enabled the establishment of a separate detectives department based in Dnipro," emphasized Semen Kryvonos.
