Attempted bribery of "Odesa" OSGT commander (PHOTOS)
On Nov. 20, 2023, NABU and SAPO served charges against a person who attempted to give an undue advantage to the commander of the "Odesa" operational-strategic group of troops. The day before, he was caught red-handed.
The suspect was nabbed giving money from the head of a private company in exchange for issuing a specific order to permit the catching of biological resources within a prohibited border area.
The criminal proceedings were initiated after a report by the commander of the "Odesa" operational-strategic group of troops, who further contributed to the exposure of the crime.
The actions of the suspect fall under Part 3 Art. 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The investigation is ongoing.
According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered not-guilty in the commission of a crime and cannot be subject to criminal punishment until he or she is found guilty by court.
