Veterans – driving force for change in Ukraine
Veterans remain not only defenders, but also drivers of the changes our society desperately needs. That's why involving veterans into the fight against the internal enemy, corruption, is so crucial. This was the focus of an event organized by the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative in Ukraine, in cooperation with NABU, SAPO, the HACC, and veterans' organizations.
The event featured Ivan Krasovskyi, deputy chief of NABU's human resources unit, who is currently serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He shared his experience in anti-corruption and emphasized the importance of united efforts:
"While working at NABU, I realized that change starts with each of us. Today, my front is the defense of Ukraine, but I am confident that after victory, we will continue our fight against corruption on another level."
The event served as a platform to discuss the prospects of recruiting veterans in anti-corruption agencies. Their experience and values have the potential to make the fight against corruption even more effective.
