National Bureau's external independent assessment kicks off

NABU Director Semen Kryvonos, members of the Commission for External Independent Assessment (Audit) of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau's work have met to discuss the term of assessment, its importance and key approaches.

The Commission includes experts in security, anti-corruption, asset recovery, and auditing, appointed by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine upon the recommendation of international organizations providing technical assistance in the field of anti-corruption prevention and enforcement.

During the meeting, Semen Kryvonos emphasized the importance of auditing the National Bureau and expressed readiness to facilitate the audit's openness, transparency, and efficiency.

External independent assessment (audit) of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau's work is mandated by the Law of Ukraine "On the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine" and serves as a key criterion for Ukraine in obtaining international financial assistance and European Union membership.
