On June 20, 2022, at the initiative of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor`s Office (SAPO) USD 199.9 thousand was transferred for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This amount was part of a USD 800,000 bribe meant for the head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine. The person who tried to give the bribe was caught red-handed, while the funds were arrested.
On May 17, 2022, the National Bureau transferred USD 300,000 to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The funds were confiscated by detectives and arrested in 2021 as part of an investigation into abuses by tax officials conducted with the Security Service under the procedural guidance of SAPO.
On Sept. 17, 2021, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) sent an indictment against the head of the financial service of one of the military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to court. He is accused of embezzling UAH 4.26 million.
On April 20, 2021, NABU and SAPO referred an indictment to court regarding five persons involved in the embezzlement of UAH 37 million during construction at the Shyrokyi Lan military range in Mykolayiv Oblast.
The Detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) under the procedural guidance of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAPO) completed the pre-trial investigation as of the facts of embezzlement UAH 37 million during the arrangement of the Shyrokyi Lan military range in Mykolayiv Oblast. On November 2, 2020, five suspects and the defense had been granted with access to criminal proceeding for review.
