Successful anti-corruption fight is impossible without the establishment of the Anti-Corruption Court — Artem Sytnyk

The success of the fight against corruption in Ukraine can be doubled if the Specialized Anti-Corruption Court is established. The later will endure sentences and fair punishment for the top-corrupt officials. This was emphasized by the Director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine Artem Sytnyk at the presentation of the Transparency International Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) for 2017, held on February 21, 2018, in Kyiv.

Effective work of the NABU is impossible without an Anti-Corruption Court - the U.S. Department of State

During the first years of investigations Ukrainian newly created anti-corruption agencies have shown valuable results, however further effective work of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) is impossible without establishment of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Court. This issue was brought up and later on discussed by the NABU Director Artem Sytnyk and by the Head of the SAPO Nazar Kholodnitskiy at the meeting with the Deputy Assistant Secretary in the State Department’s Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs Bridget A. Brink, which took place on December 8.

NABU opens Territorial Office in Odesa

On August 4, 2017, the Odesa Territorial Office of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) officially started its work. The Office is allocated in Odesa. The main task of the Odesa Territorial Office (as well as the NABU Territorial Offices in Lviv and Kharikiv) is communication with the public and  information processing (applications on corruption offenses under NABU`s jurisdiction). Also the Odesa Territorial Office will provide organizational support in investigations to the NABU Detectives in the Southern Regions of Ukraine.

Support of international partners is very important for the NABU - Artem Sytnyk

The support of the internationals partners of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) in the pre-trial investigations and of ensuring of the functional independence is very important. This was stressed by the NABU Director Artem Sytnyk at the first meeting of the Supervisory Board of the European Union’s Anti-Corruption Initiative in Ukraine (EUACI) on June 22, 2017.  

Anti-Corruption Court will complete Ukrainian reforms - Artem Sytnyk

The establishment of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Court will be the final stage of anti-corruption and judicial reforms in Ukraine. This was stressed by Artem Sytnyk, the Director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) at the Symposium on the Phenomenon of Corruption held on June 16-18 in Berlin.
