The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) continues expand the range of strategic partners at the international level. The outcome of the fight against top-level corruption depends on a large extent on the effective interaction of the competent authorities of different countries. This was emphasized by the NABU Director Artem Sytnyk at the international conference "Strengthening transparency and accountability to ensure integrity: united against corruption". The event was held on October 15-16, 2018, in the Republic of Croatia.
On December 13, 2016, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) with the Specialized Investigation Service of the Republic of Lithuania (STT) signed a cooperation agreement on mutual investigation of corruption offenses, conduction of joint operational-search activities and mutual actions on corruption prevention. The corresponding Memorandum was signed by the NABU Director Artem Sytnyk and the Head of the Specialized Investigation Service of the Republic of Lithuania Saulius Urbanavičius.
The Director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau Artem Sytnyk asks not to consider the recent events between the officers of the NABU and the General Prosecutor’s Office as an interagency war. According to him, both bodies must "jointly fight corruption, which appears to be the main evil that prevents Ukraine from development." Besides the relations between the law enforcement bodies, Artem Sytnyk commented on a number of high-profile criminal cases.
On August 12, 2016, the Lviv Territorial Office of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine officially started its work. Besides Lviv region, it will also work in Volyn, Zakarpattia, Chernivtsi, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne and Khmelnytsky region.
