On Nov. 18, 2021, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) completed an investigation of an ex-official of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine (he is also a lawyer). His actions fall under Part 2 Article 15, Part 4 Article 27, Part 3 Article 369, Part 4 Article 190, and Part 2 Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The suspect and his defense were granted access to the case materials.

Decisions of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine aimed at decriminalizing the articles on e-declaration and illicit enrichment dealt a serious blow to anti-corruption reform, but failed to stop it. This was stated by NABU Director Artem Sytnyk at the Discussion "Constitutional crisis in Ukraine: a year later" attended, inter alia, by the leadership of the National Agency on Corruption Prevention, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, and the High Anti-Corruption Court on Oct. 27, 2021.

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) have notified an ex-official of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine (he is also a lawyer) of suspicion of submitting misstatements to his e-declaration. The actions of the suspect fall under Part 2 Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The ruling of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, which imposes criminal liability for submitting false data to e-declaration, is political. In this way, the Constitutional Court of Ukraine not only legitimizes the intentions of politicians and officials to hide from society illegally acquired wealth, but also protects the interests of some judges of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine (under NABU investigations).

The investigation as of the facts of illegally received from the state budget cash compensation payments in the amount of UAH 367 thousand for rent by the Member of Parliament (MP) of the VIII convocations was completed. On June 5, 2020, the indictment was sent to court.
