Cooperation between NABU and ARMA strengthens the fight against corruption

The interaction of the state bodies in the assets search investigations helps to fortify the fight against corruption and resolves problems within the management of seized property. It was stressed by the Director of the Lviv Territorial Office of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) Taras Lopushanskiy and the representatives of the West Interregional Territorial Department of the National Agency of Ukraine for finding, tracing and management of assets derived from corruption and other crimes (ARMA) at the meeting on July 3, 2020.

By searching information about corruption, activists help law enforcement agencies with investigations. This was emphasized by the Director of the Lviv Territorial Office of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) Taras Lopushanskiy at the press conference "Fighting Corruption: What's Next?". The event was organized with the support of the World Bank in Ukraine, and took place in Lviv on January 23, 2019.

NABU Detectives will consolidate efforts with Polish officers to overcome trans-border crime

The Detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) requested for international legal assistance more than 400 times. The received answers allowed revealing the final beneficiaries of companies involved in the Ukrainian corruption and tracking the flow of funds abroad. Support from foreign colleagues helps the NABU to eliminate corruption schemes. The Director of the Lviv Territorial Office of the NABU Taras Lopushanskiy emphasized this during the training for the NABU staff on September 24-27, 2018, in the Republic of Poland. The event was held with the support of the Anti-Corruption Network Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

NABU jointly with the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau of Poland will combat cross-border corruption

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau of the Republic of Poland (CBA) will jointly prevent and combat cross-border corruption. The relevant agreement was signed by the Director of the Lviv Territorial Office of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) Taras Lopushansky and the Director of the Cabinet of the Head of CBA Ivona Chernets at a meeting in Lviv on October 6, 2017.
