On Jan. 9, 2024, NABU and SAPO, in cooperation with the SSU, exposed an illicit scheme within one of the district courts in the Odesa region. The scheme facilitated the evasion of draft by men aged 18-60 and allowed them to travel abroad.
This Assessment covers the period from January 2021 to mid-summer 2023.
NABU and SAPO continue to expose top-level corruption. On Dec. 12, 2023, another participant in the criminal organization run by the former head of the State Property Fund was notified of suspicion. Their actions led to over UAH 400 million in damages to the state, and the exposure became one of the most significant cases in the history of Ukraine's anti-corruption agencies. The charges have been brought against the former first deputy head of the State Property Fund (2021), who currently holds a position at PJSC "Ukrnafta."
Two participants in the scheme to illegally sell the buildings of the National Cinematheque of Ukraine will transfer UAH 40.26 million to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On Nov. 29, 2023, NABU and SAPO exposed four judges of the Kyiv Court of Appeal, who received USD 35,000 in undue advantage for issuing a 'proper' decision.
