Ukraine's progress in implementing the anti-corruption reform and adopting the legislation necessary to accede to the Convention on Combating Bribery of Foreign Public Officials in International Business Transactions. This was discussed during the plenary session of the OECD Working Group on Bribery in Paris and as part of a meeting with OECD representatives held on December 17 at the premises of the National Bureau.
Transparent use of international aid, best practices in fighting transborder corruption, and strengthening the institutional capacity of the National Bureau. These were the key topics discussed by NABU Director Semen Kryvonos and SAPO Head Oleksandr Klymenko during their working visit to the United Kingdom.
Thanks to the activities of a joint investigative team comprising detectives from the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU), prosecutors from the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO), and representatives of law enforcement agencies from Austria and France, assets belonging to members of a criminal organization led by a former head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine have been identified and seized.
Victory in the war as a key to recovery and the steps required to maximize its effectiveness were the focus of a speech by NABU Director Semen Kryvonos during the event, “International Anti-Corruption Day - from Euromaidan to European Integration.”
