After the victory, significant international aid and investments will start coming to Ukraine for its reconstruction. Therefore, every investor must be confident that his rights are protected in the same way as in all civilized countries. This was stated by Director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau Semen Kryvonos during his speech at the Ukrainian panel of the OECD Global Anti-Corruption Forum 2023 in Paris.

On May 23, 2023, NABU and SAPO caught two persons red-handed receiving more than half a million hryvnias in undue advantage. On May 24, both were served with charges under Part 4 Art. 27 Part 3 Art. 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The case of EUR 21 million and USD 5.5 million paid in undue advantage to the former head of the State Fiscal Service has been referred to the High Anti-Corruption Court. This is the largest amount ever documented by Ukrainian law enforcement officers.

The efforts of the Bureau's leadership, including the optimization of its staffing structure, are aimed at having more resources to effectively control the processes of Ukraine's restoration and timely respond to corruption risks. This was emphasized by National Bureau Director Semen Kryvonos at a meeting with representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce on May 19, 2023.

Increasing the number of detectives and forensic experts is one of the key tasks faced by the leadership of the National Bureau, as the number of exposed corruption crimes and the effectiveness of investigations depend on these employees. This was emphasized by NABU Director, Semen Kryvonos, during a meeting with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Canada to Ukraine, Larisa Galadza.
