On two fronts: NABU's deliverables in the first half of 2022

The first half of 2022 saw the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine fighting on two fronts - against top corruption and russian occupiers. The period became one of the most difficult in terms of challenges faced by the Bureau staff in the conditions of a full-scale invasion of the enemy.

Corruption at customs: сase sent to court

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor`s Office (SAPO) issued an indictment against six persons involved in fraud with customs clearance of goods imported into Ukraine, as a result of which the state suffered UAH 63.8 million in losses.

Ukrekoresursy recycling scheme: new episode

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) registered a new episode of illegal actions by the participants of the corruption scheme involving the purchase of reverse vending machines by Ukrekoresursy SE.

Ex-OPFL MP suspected of non-declaration of apartment

On Aug. 4, 2022, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) served a suspicion notice in absentia to a 9th convocation MP who failed to declare an apartment worth UAH 4.2 million. His actions fall under Part 1 Art. 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
