Ex-Ukrekoresursy head detained on recycling scheme charges

On June 21, 2022, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor`s Office (SAPO) detained the former director of Ukrekoresursy SE (deals with recycling) suspected of embezzling UAH 13.69 million. The investigation has evidence that the former official, along with representatives of private structures, organized a scheme for the purchase of reverse-vending machines of inadequate quality. They are all facing charges, their actions falling under Part 5 Art. 191 of the Criminal code of Ukraine.

NABU completes investigation in Kyiv City Council bribery case

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) have completed an investigation of a current deputy of the Kyiv City Council and other persons exposed taking UAH 1.39 million in undue benefit. On June 17, 2022, the case file was disclosed for review before being referred to court.

Ukraine army gets USD 200,000 at the initiative of NABU, SAPO, HACC

On June 20, 2022, at the initiative of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor`s Office (SAPO) USD 199.9 thousand was transferred for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This amount was part of a USD 800,000 bribe meant for the head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine. The person who tried to give the bribe was caught red-handed, while the funds were arrested.

KDAC case sent to court

On June 17, 2022, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor`s Office (SAPO) issued indictments against 11 persons accused of attempts to seize state power and obstruct the work of the High Qualification Commission of Judges, participation in criminal organization and abuse of influence.
