U.S. Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch visits the NABU

During her visit to the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine on November 28, U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch said “the work of NABU and SAPO is important and not easy. Ukrainian people do want change. However, these changes will not happen without sentences in top-corruption cases. That is why the United States supports the idea of creating an Anticorruption Court in Ukraine.”

NABU representatives studied best practices of the anti-corruption world leaders

To establish professional relations at the international level and to learn the newest means and methods of combating corruption, the Director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) Artem Sytnyk jointly with law enforcement officers of European countries took part in the European Partners against Corruption (EPAC) and European contact-point network against corruption (EACN) 17th Professional Conference and session of the General Assembly. The events took place on November 15-17, 2017 in Lisbon, Portugal.  

NABU jointly with the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau of Poland will combat cross-border corruption

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau of the Republic of Poland (CBA) will jointly prevent and combat cross-border corruption. The relevant agreement was signed by the Director of the Lviv Territorial Office of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) Taras Lopushansky and the Director of the Cabinet of the Head of CBA Ivona Chernets at a meeting in Lviv on October 6, 2017.

NABU and Romania's National Anticorruption Directorate agreed on cooperation and information exchange

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) at the Prosecutor's Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice Supreme Court of Cassation of Romania (Direcţia Naţională Anticorupţie, DNA) will strengthen cooperation in the area of detection and investigation of corruption offenses. The relevant Memorandum was signed by the NABU Director Artem Sytnyk and the Chief Prosecutor of the DNA Laura Codruța Kövesi at a working meeting in Bucharest on September 7, 2017.

Ukrainian World Congress supports the establishment of the Anti-Corruption Court

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) has proved that Ukraine continues to fight corruption. Its investigations of large-scale corruption cases at big State Enterprises and the facts of exposing the illegal activities of top-level officials are the best proof. These are the reasons Ukrainians from all over the world support the activities of the NABU, and the governments of foreign states support the idea of establishment of the High Specialized Anti-Corruption Court in Ukraine. This institution is to become the final accord in all the cases, conducted by other anti-corruption authorities.  This was emphasized by Eugene Czolij, the President of the World Congress of Ukrainians (UWC), during his visit to the NABU, which took place on August 31, 2017.
