Effective international cooperation is the key for returning illegally acquired assets

The lack of final court decisions is one of the main obstacles to the return of assets obtained by criminal means from abroad. This problem is relevant not only for Ukraine. Representatives of anti-corruption bodies identified the most serious challenges during the II International Expert Meeting in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on May 7-9, 2019.

NABU told the UN Member States about the results of its work

Ukrainian anti-corruption activists learned the US best practices on strategic communications

On November 3-17, 2018, the representatives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU), the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) and the Civil Oversight Council of the NABU (COC) learned about law enforcement system, tasks and authorities of different institutions, general rules and examples of communication with the media and civil society in the United States of America. The visit took place in the framework of the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP).

NABU employees exchanged experience with representatives of 27 foreign jurisdictions in Japan

Employees of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) learned about the pre-trial investigation of corruption offences through reconnaissance and covert operations, the application of preventive measures in the sphere of the combating corruption, the organization of training programs to raise public awareness about the negative effects of corruption and counteract it. That was during the "Criminal Justice Against Corruption" program in Japan from October 8 till November 16, 2018.
