The NABU Director calls upon individuals mentioned in Trepak`s lists to provide their handwriting samples voluntarily

The Director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine Artem Sytnyk urged everyone who claims that his/her altered signatures were forged in so called Party of Regions “Black accountancy” to come to the NABU and to give the detectives experimental samples of their handwriting.

“We call on everyone, who declares their signatures were falsified, to contact the NABU and to give a sample of their signature voluntarily,” Artem Sytnyk said during the briefing.

According to the Bureau Director, it will facilitate the identification of inpiduals and speed up the investigation process.

“NABU has received 841 sheets of paper. These papers were filled in by hand. Dates, last names, initials of inpiduals, sums of the money given and short description of expenses could be found there. Every paper consists of nearly 30 records. We have digitized these papers with the help of equipment provided by the FBI. Investigation is in progress, detectives started identifying inpiduals mentioned in papers,” Artem Sytnyk told.

It should be reminded that on May 30 the NABU started investigation upon the claim of Victor Trepak. The record was registered in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigation by the Bureau detectives on the preliminary legal qualification under Part 4 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (offer, commitment or giving improper advantage to an official).
